George Washington did not want the US military to be stronger than the citizens

Wrong. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whiskey_Rebellion

Washington used the full might of the federal army to loot a specific group of productive people for his own ideas of what the people needed. He was not cheering for the common people to win.

Ah yes, wikipedia. The most unbiased and honest, and totally factual source available on the internet.

Im saving your response. Wikipedia has its faults, but the rough overview of the Whisky rebellion isnt one of them. Your willful ignorance is special.

It was so much more complicated than that. This is one of the better biographies on him:

Also feel free to set your charity to FPC/SAF/one of the actually-pro-2A advocacy groups.

Of course it was more complicated than that. Do you expect a small internet comment to do the diligence of a book? The result was simple. He saw a successful industry and socialized its profits from behind federal guns. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Im not criticizing it. I dont know that he could have done anything differently. The country needed both the money and stability. Its just not something to ignore about history. Washington suceeded in building a young nation by taking a giant dump on the rights of the working class. He set a precedent that is anethema to the revolutionary war that he miraculously won.
