The far-left and those who would divide our country are working feverishly to construct a narrative of widespread White-on-Asian hate crime in order to turn Asian Americans against the majority and have them join their "victim" group coalition. I suspect this effort will end up failing. Asians are too intelligent to fall for this nonsense. The truth is that the far-left and the black "community" at large are the ones that are anti-Asian. A lot of blacks harbor a deep-seated resentment towards Asians because they have been able to achieve success as a group in this country despite adversity, and it reminds them of their own failures. Asians thrive in a meritocratic system. The left and their special interest groups are adamantly opposed to meritocracy. The left are desperately trying to tear down Asians' model minority status which they ascribe as a "myth," and are trying to create the same dysfunction and culture of grievance in the Asian community that exists in the black community . The real issue is the rampant violence and criminality, and dysfunction of the black "community." That's always been the issue. This wave of black on Asian violence is nothing new. Sadly no. I know 2 PhD Asian friends and 1 very intelligent Asian friend who are fully "woke". They supported the BLM marches last summer and now are posting and talking about the violence against Asians. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they assume all the violence is from "white supremacy".
One of them is even married to a white guy. I remember one of them complaining about how white people don't know what it feels like to be discriminated against. When pressed when she had been discriminated against she said all the time when she goes anywhere by the way people stare at her. When her husband asked how does she think he feels every time he visits her country as a 6'3'' white guy she said "but they aren't thinking anything bad when they stare at you!" ¯_(ツ)_/¯
