If we ever find a way to bring people back from the dead, I want to resurrect George Washington, just for a week, so that he can learn about what became of his nation once he and the other Founding Fathers died.

He didn't do much to help it to be honest. The whiskey tax was the first step down the slippery slope of the growing size of government.

May as well just say the Constitution was the first step. It's what grants Congress the right to levy taxes.

Indeed it was.

Taxation is a violation of property rights, which the founders failed to put into the constitution.
