Initially, even many Democrats were skeptical because of how Trump was so far ahead late on election night, until for the first time in history they "shut down the election" and then spent several days finding batches of all Biden mail-in ballots, such as the 100% Biden ballot dumps of 200,000 and 300,000 ballots in WI and MI at 3AM.
But then came the seized servers, CIA and military gun battles, Haspel being arrested and squawking like a bird, Biden ankle monitors, Flynn flying overseas and performing mass arrests on "deep state operatives", etc. That bullshit did not help.
The media latched onto her for a reason. She turned the fight for election fraud into a clown show and made it easy to point and laugh. Imagine how much that impacted judges, state legislators, etc.
Also Powell was never an epic prosecutor, she was a decent prosecutor, but mostly just wrote a bunch of books. She was not able to save Flynn, Trump ended up having to pardon him. She also has zero election law experience, and it shows.
