I just do not understand why so many people want this to be the new normal, wearing masks and living in constant fear. It sucks. But many people want it for some bizarre reason.
I discovered the answer when I was in the Army. There are two primary types of personell: Those who want to do do something in defense of the Nation, the Constitution and our way of Life, and so they choose to answer that Responsibility ( these very rarely serve more than one enlistment cycle, because they come to realize that the DoD is not just a Neutral Defensive Apparatus to the Constitution and the Nation , but is simultaneously a Political Arm with its own Agenda, and the thought of shedding someone's blood with no real Defensive Purpose is Unacceptable) ..And then there are those who want to be Institutionalized. They don't want the burden of caring for themselves, they like to be told what to wear, where to stand, when to eat, and who to shoot. It absolves them (in their way of thinking) of Responsibility for their Actions. I think it is a spiritual thing, like a Deal with the Universe , "you can't find me guilty because these are not my decisions"..it's a warm fuzzy hideaway place. These we called "lifers" ...There may be exceptions to this, I speak in general (s🎶 gathered in their...oops, I further digress)...🐸🇺🇸
