I'm collecting unemployment after getting laid off from a job I hated- and I dont necessarily want to go back into that field but also I feel like I need a job and direction to do something with my life- but I have no idea what it should be.

You sound political. You scroll here all day, you say. Do a search of "precinct leader your nearest city name" and rummage around. Go do it.
You are obviously happy with your nose in a screen thinking about things. Become familiar with all the right of center websites. They often list others at the side.
Also get out of the house and walk around. Let your feet go where they want, but no place bad. You know what I mean. Drive a little. Get a feel for it.
Plant some vegetables.
Stay fit and good looking. Don't get into soporifics.
that's a good point- I'm happy with my nose in a screen.. I find the internet distracting but these sites really stimulate me. the rest is good advice- I'm actually in the gym for 3 hours right now and hired a trainer a while back cause yeah, I wanna look good, but I still need that next step.
