I'm collecting unemployment after getting laid off from a job I hated- and I dont necessarily want to go back into that field but also I feel like I need a job and direction to do something with my life- but I have no idea what it should be.

Because when you return to the workforce, you'll be at the absolute bottom of the pyramid.
Legally while collecting unemployment you are required to be searching for another job.
Plus, you're just going to spend that money anyways and it sounds like you're just getting out of shape.
