I pick up hitchhikers all the time. I know what it's like to walk home after work and I feel for them.

Know who I never offer a drive to? Women. I live in a college town and see lots of girls walk home. I'm sorry and I know these accusations aren't exactly super common, but I have too much to lose for some psycho bitch to read my plate after I drop her off and report me for something I didn't do.

Call me paranoid but you can be damn sure that would never happen with a guy hitchhiker. I'm also always carrying so I don't worry about assaults either.

Yeah, my issue with “believe all” crap is they brush off the statistic that 2-10% are false accusations. I pointed this out to someone who told me she’s talked to over 100 women who have been assaulted. “OK, which 10 were lying?” And her brain broke. I even made it simpler, “which 2?” I’m not some savage asshole, women get raped and we should punish those who are guilty. But the tenor of the conversation makes it such that you are right to be weary.
