An employee at a major bank in Florida was so grateful we passed 15 an hour min. She makes roughly 19 an hour and her son works in retail. She said how pleased she was that they would earn more money. I stated "how we going to make more money"? She went on to explain her 20 years of service is worth a lot more than min wage. I responded the 15 an hour is like food stamps, designed to help the poorest among us. She than asked the manager when they raise the min wage 1.5 will she get more money. To which she was told no, just the annual raise if available. It was at that moment she understood. Telling me if she could work at the zoo for 15 an hour why would she work in a high stress office. To which I responded "you wouldn't". In hind sight I should have said those making 100k would prolly get raises.

One would think someone in banking would know this already. I have a relative who is also in banking and he is a brainwashed leftist fool. It amazes me that a person who was so logical would transform himself into an emotion-driven reactionary. He has no clue about cause-and reaction - it's as if the premise has been wiped clean (like a cloth?) from his memory cells.

Just cause you work at a bank does not mean you understand basic economics.

Clearly that's the case, but one would think it might be a requirement for employment at a financial institution.

We've hired some ex bankers and I can confirm that. I mean they tend to understand some things but often only see things the way they've been conditioned too and don't have an ability to adapt or change. Hit and miss maybe.

Didn't transform themselves. They were propagandized.

People are really only logical beings from time to time. We are emotional beings first and foremost and so we are all susceptible to letting that solely run our lives. Advertisers exploit this every day. Brainwashing is so easy to do so no offense but even though your relative might have been logical at times he was not very bright and/or not completely in control of his own mind. Sadly this is the case for most of us I think. This is why I have been saying for so long that letting every citizen vote is a huge mistake. When Biden says, "everyone gets to come along," I cry out No, No, and Fucking No. Some people just need to shut the fuck up and mind their own business.
