Fun fact: They redefined the criteria repeatedly over the last 12 years on what diabetes is.

It's similar to the redefinitions of autism, and ADHD. Which is why both broadly expanded in scope after several years. Now you're seeing the same thing with the trans stuff, "tom boys" are now "girls in the wrong body."

They also expanded the scope of what is defined as aspergers and other related diagnoses. I'm technically on the original spectrum of autism(way back in the late 1970s and early 1980s), not the revised one.

The thing is while there is a correlation between the two, there's also a correlation between the expanding definitions of what autism is as well. Making it well a correlation between the three.
