I really do not get how requiring photo ID = racism. IDs are required for just about everything in functioning society. If anything, it works against homeless people. Not black people.
Anyone claiming black people are too stupid or poor to get a photo ID is a racist if you ask me.
The idea is you are supposed to assume that any attempt to hold people accountable at the polls is an intent to suppress the "black vote".
There were historical attempts to supposedly suppress the vote, such as poll taxes or tests. And any attempt to enforce accountability is treated as similar.
The sad part is that it works. Many in the conservative side are heavily taught the golden rule, and that's partially why they run for cover every time the name-calling comes out. Nobody wants to be seen as "mean" or judgemental. But the left is not playing by the same rules.
I think to a point it is getting better, but we have a long way to go.
Does this mean they do not work? They have nothing for an 1-9? They provided no identification to receive benefits? Insurance? Give me a fucking break. To cash a check? Open an account?

The thing is.. you ask any black person where the nearest DMV is, they will give the closest, the fastest and a good time to go.
Heck, ask a brown person and they will tell you were the nearest 3rd party DMV is.
