Every kid with their first job is looking to dip into the register.
Leading to the fact that half your staff is still in training on any given shift.
60% of them will walk out before they finish training.
Meaning your workload is half of the production of the entire store on any given day.
You'll go on vacation for 3 days and come back to find there's only three people left in the staff and they've been running the show for 48 hours straight.
Then you aren't allowed to give them the raises they deserve because you have to keep enough in the budget to hire 6 new quitters.
Then you have every karen in town lambasting you for not having her 5 burrito bundle boxes ready in time for soccer practice as if she can't see with her own two eyes that it's her and the other karens taking their turns to screech that's making 1 person make 80 burritos another put out a grease fire, while the third has to stand there and do nothung just so the karen can complain about something.
All this is beside the point when you get a call at 3 am from your new cashier who has a heart of gold and skin of adamantium who had to find your number in the schedule because the 3 people you had who were 5 year veterans got sick of the bullshit and realized they could go get drunk and high at a party and you wouldn't be able to fire them for another week because you need the staff.
He just needs to know how to close the store so it won't burn down overnight but he wants to see the shift through to the end because he still thinks hard work can be rewarded in this world.
All while the town drunk is trying to kick in the door because you don't have a chicken sandwich and you have no way of explaining to the guy who's blitzed out of his noggin that the kfc is accross the street.
But I'd do it all every day besides sunday if I could have 100k a year. I guess with 2020 level inflation that's more like 500k. But whatever.
Too bad the commies decided that taking 70% of the wages of the one guy who sticks it out is worth giving the walkout motherfuckers 15 an hour.
