Makes you wonder why the heck that boat stuck in the canal is still stuck in the canal.

It’s going to take weeks to get it out, apparently.

I cannot wait for the gas prices to go even HIGHER 🥴

Apparently there's gonna be another TP shortage. Not even joking. God has a sense of humor.

TP is made in Wisconsin. It's not shipped through the Suez canal.

This is not something to wonder about. It's stuck on the bottom, not merely the front.

Also, it's 100' longer than is allowed to enter the canal. Theoretically. This ship is YUUGE. And full. Really heavy.

The thing to wonder about is why it got diagonal in the first place.

Female drivers?

Plural. Canal authority always has personnel aboard. Parent company should have never routed this ship this way.

All responsible are women?

They said it was weather conditions, wind.

Yup, I read those reports too. Having seen video of the event, I can only conclude those are deliberate lies. Not only is there no sandstorm, the water is like glass indicating no wind.

There was a tugboat pushing the ship into the side of the canal. It should have been near the bow, pushing AWAY from the side of the canal.

Plus the video has been made private.

The more you look into this, the fishier it gets.

The wind at the time of the incident was 6mph and coming from the South.

How can you wonder about 'why diagonal', when someone on the ship (or someone into the ship's electronic controls) took the trouble to draw a very good dickbutt in the ship's GPS path just before entering the canal?

I mean come on. A butterfly, or a smilely face, and we could all go 'nope! Definitely not a 'fuck you' message to the world and not a deliberate grounding. But a dickbutt. Nuff said.

Do you really think the ship traveled in that pattern? I don't.

The more you look into this, the more messed up it is. Beginning with sending a ship 100' too long per regulations to the canal in the first place. Both corporation and Captain had the duty to either send it around the Cape of Good Hope, or load a smaller vessel.

iI's the Middle East, and money talks. I'm not surprised the 100' oversize was ignored.

Also reporters calling it "Ever Given," while the ship's huge letters are on screen. Clearly it is EVERGREEN.

"Don't believe your lying eyes."

Reminds me of the Star Trek TNG episode where Picard is being tortured by the Borg to say there are 5 lights when he knows there are 4

TBF, the ship's name IS Ever Given. It's painted across the stern. The "EVERGREEN" on the side is the name of the shipping line that owns it.

As a woman, I will tell you now...

I see a female pilot and i get scared.

Haha! I always take a peak at the pilots and immediately feel relieved when I see 2 white males in their late 40s early 50s with an ex military look to them. : )
