I have zero faith in the decency of politicians... But the corporate/adult wing of the dnc knows that if they end the fillibuster, they get civil war. They would also have to actually do what the loony left wants. My assumption for the moment is that they want the fillibuster as much as we do. That way they can glibly say "We would do this and that but that darn fillibuster..."
