How much of a meth/crack-head does one have to be to participate in those silly, “buyback” programs? I’m guessing a severely addicted one

if youre not building $10 slam fire 12 gauge shotguns from shit from lowes and turning them in for $100 each then youre doing it wrong.

I see what you mean 😎 However, I love the part when the local buyback programs announce “one broken pistol and a rusted out shotgun” as a “victory” 👍

FYI legal registered machine guns start at $10,000 and go WAY up from there, especially authentic war guns.

And the market has never gone down. There is a fixed supply so prices for MGs have always gone up. It's actually a good investment that you can have fun with (before the current ammo prices at least).

Reminds me of Cash for Clunkers - how many unrestored classics got crushed?

not too many. most of the clunkers were just older cars. the real loosers were people who could have used the parts off of those cars turned in.

After the German surrender my grandfather's Sgt snagged a box of Luger pistols and gave one to each of his men to take home as a souvenir. My grandfather gave it to his brother who sold it for $50. $50 in the 1940's, mind you, but still...

I heard of someone somewhere that plans on stocking up on zip guns for the next buyback. Like that he can stock up on actual guns n ammo.
