When the system isn’t being followed, you can’t blame the system. It’s like directions to assemble a chair are shit when you didn’t even read them. What you’re asking for is a bunch of paper to self-regulate people by itself. When in reality they’ll ignore what it says if there no consequence or enforcement of that pile of ink.

 

In other words; no system can succeed when there are no consequences for failing to abide by it.

And this is the argument used by communists and socialists. The soviets etc... were doing it wrong and the greedy citizens were participating in black markets.

False equivalence. They were following their doctrine and blaming its failures on others. We aren’t following our doctrine and you’re blaming out current failures on it.
