A generation raised on smart phones has arguably become the most socially retarded and disconnected generation to date.
Now consider what they're currently doing to children in the name of Covid. They're preventing them from socializing in person. They're preventing physical contact. The unquantifiable behavioral, psychological, emotional, and mental harm they're doing cannot be understated.
Kids will have a difficult enough time developing their IQ, socialization skills, and emotional intelligence with the technology and politics of today. I think millennials are prime demonstration of that. But the consequences of what's happening now will be even worse.
These schools and teachers are facilitating, enforcing, and contributing to the most insidious and destructive form of mass child abuse we've probably ever seen.
I've thought of this.
While a year is nothing to me any more, as a kid it was an eternity.
This year, and the years that follow will be their whole upbringing.
Watching the government lock us all down, close schools, close their parents work, their parents apathy and compliance. It's all being burned into their impressionable heads, forever.
Parents eagerly discussing spending "free" money, all of it will be part of who they are now.
It's really sad to think about the future.
My kids do not have smart phones. They are 12. They have a flip phone (1) between them incase we go somewhere and they are separated from us. Also they have been in a private Christian school from day 1 of this year. They won't get mine.

Article in my local paper today about this. They are bringing the kids doing poorly, and who are in danger of failing (sounds like about half) for 4 day/week in person learning. The superintendent explained that the kids who are doing well will necessarily suffer at the expense of the others because they can’t bring them all back.
It’s shameful, if you are still playing along with this, when every senior I know has both shots, you are part of harming my kids and stealing their future. Do not expect mercy from me if you question my behaviors as to mask wearing and social distancing. I will fuck you up.
kids learn primarily from their parents, so it's important to behave without fear and like a normal human if you are a parent.

Agree. The old ways weren't working.... They must separate the child from the parent to brainwash them. I see this is one of my grandchildren. Very smart but... there is an "offness" about him. He knows his shapes and his letters and numbers but, if you try to engage him in conversation, he completely ignores you, even when called by name. (3 yrs old). This is a child who is totally watching cartoons and "learning" videos all day.
