Seriously, at this point, they just need to be using water cannons, pumps, and jets to erode the ground it’s on (they have the means on hand for this), it will destroy the canal locally, but they can shore it later, at a huge cost, but it’s still cheaper than blocking the canal for the timeframes they are working on.
