I didnt live during segregation of white only / black only toilets, but if we arent to that level of racism again already, were quickly approaching it.
Although id honestly argue weve exceeded it. We are hiring literally by skin color now, but instead of it being a secret like in the 30s some black guy is told they stopped hiring when they didnt, racism is now institutionally backed by government and corporations and they just say it openly.
I mean I got the same 6 or so best friends since middle school. One is white, growing up in NY they're all liberal but one. They all agreed when I pointed out I never thought of them as whatever skin shade they are or me being white. This is a new thing shoved in our face. Growing up we where just friends
