Hunter got into a fight with his girlfriend at the time (dead brother Beau's wife) and she threw the gun in a garbage can behind a grocery store facing a high school. He said there were some shady people, people that looked illegal (racist like his dad) and they should be checked out. The Secret Service tried to get and destroy records of the transaction from the gun shop and the FBI buried it for as long as they could. Does Hunter have secret service watching him so he doesn't slip into drug addiction? No charges will be pressed and the Biden's can rob, steal, possess guns and nothing will ever happen to them. They could get DUI after DUI, hit people on the street and they could get a pass.

It's illegal to dispose of a firearm this way and that might even be within the gun free school zone which automatically ups that to a felony.
Sounds to me like the Secret Service were tampering with evidence, obstructing an investigation, and interfering with official police duties. They should also be charged.
And yes, lying on a firearms background form is illegal and makes it so you possessing a firearm illegal.
I expect charges to be filed next week. No worries. I know it's the weekend. I'll wait. First thing Monday? First thing Monday
marishiten --- the FBI said it is an "ongoing investigation" so you know what that means.....but damn is that rug in the White House gets lumpy, Lyin Joe might just fall over all those crimes and felonies hidin' under that rug.
Hunter did not lie about the 1st question. He was never dishonorably discharged, he was given an administrative separation for pissing hot in the Navy.
Hunter DID lie on the second question. He would not be able to answer "no" to the first question because there is evidence of him being a user of illicit substances, and if he DID answer "no", then he's lied on a government form which is a felony in and of itself.
I don't think anyone cares if he is a drug addict. I think they care about him making an embarrassing public spectacle of it.
He wasn't dishonorably discharged. A dishonorable is extremely hard to get and basically requires you to have committed a felony. The military prefers general/admin discharges because they're faster and cheaper and get rid of problem people, since a DD requires a court martial adjudication.
PBTS -- Hunter got preferential treatment and if you could talk to guys in his regiment I'm sure you would hear some stories. How many chances did this fool get? He probably just had to show up to get passed on. Was he always the black sheep of the family and was his brother the same but never got caught up with the drugs? The Biden family are low on the IQ spectrum so Beau probably wasn't that bright but on the political/grifter fast track.
