One day, a male student approached Dr. Meriwether after class, informed him that he identified as transgender, and demanded that Dr. Meriwether refer to him as a woman, with feminine titles and pronouns. When Dr. Meriwether did not immediately agree, the student became aggressive, physically circling him, getting in his face, using expletives, and even threatening to get Dr. Meriwether fired.

Getting really fucking tired of this nonsense.

This decision will hopefully be used to shut down the sue-crazy lunatics who do this nonsense in the workplace. And shut the HR demons the hell up.

That’s called assault.

The student never touched him - sadly. But verbal assault, yes. Read the filing, I linked it in another post. The "Doe" in the dress was and is a complete shitbag - even finished the class and got a good grade, but the admin took up the cause and punished the professor.

The Doe is an asshole, clearly. But the administrators at that school are significantly bigger assholes.

assault does not require physical contact in any state.
