I am about to watch a film and can not decide between The Patriot or Free State Of Jones, I am leaning towards Free State Of Jones but I have seen The Patriot mentioned a lot on here, what do you guys recommend?

Patriot. gets a bit cheesy for me but that's how it was back before internet-fueled cynicism.
havent seen FSoJ.
They're both great movies, but I'd go with The Patriot first.
