The people saying Floyd was a victim of police brutality and racism are committing hate speech which is not only blood libel defaming white people but also hate speech against black people too.
They're specifically targeting black people to make them feel victimised and under attack when they are not.
The thing is as well is that it's not that hard to investigate and find out what actually happened. When journalists are telling another story they know they're lying. They know either then haven't verified their story or they have investigated and found it to be false.
I don't like hate speech codes or the notion at all but it was originally intended for cases that were a genuine problem. The media making up extreme fake stories about race A hunting and killing race B to get race B to respond to race A as a threat is what reasonable people thought they were signing up for when giving hate speech restrictions consideration.
I'm usually extremely liberal when it comes to speech and the press but this really is like shouting fire in a crowded theatre. Worse in many respects. I think a lot of journalists should be sent to prison for it and they should be made an example of for the public good.
If shouting fire in a crowded theatre puts people’s lives at risk, what does promoting a fake narrative about an incident like this do when you look at the riots, destruction, and loss of life it causes? This clearly is much worse. For two reasons: one, the press doing it are supposed to be professionals. They are not just random people in a theatre yelling fire. They are people whose job it is to report the news. They have a much bigger voice and with that comes more responsibility. And two: the damage it causes both short term and long term, in loss of life and property, and societal order, is far greater. What they have been doing is a much more severe crime.
They ought to be forced to confess that they lied on national television, say what the truth really is, then serve time in prison and be barred from holding any position in journalism again.
What if you or I collided with our friends to tell “fire!” and it caused $2 billion+ worth of damages & many lost innocent lives? We would be held to account... unless of course we could prove to the court we were democrats.
Well as you saw with BLM, black people did stampede and lives were lost. A lot of innocent black lives as well. The media went out of their way to convince black people that they were of imminent danger of a white supremacist cop bursting out and gunning them down at any moment, even in their sleep.
I don't think they can all blame the journalists and that's not a defence for anyone but these journalists known full well what they are doing.
Rule of numbers is you're always going to get stupid people and their propaganda is deliberately designed to provoke a reaction like that.
You know they also constantly go on about how Trump can't say this because people will attack Asians, etc so they clearly submit to the notion that people should be held responsible, however nothing Trump has ever said or done in comparable to what they have done which is beyond wilfully negligent, it's deliberate.
Well yes, the journalists at places like CNN are the worst offenders when it comes to what they accuse others of and I think they do it beyond the threshold of criminality.
They can't write half a dozen then a dozen then more and more stories about black people being murdered by cops or white supremacists that turn out to be bogus one after the other in a row by accident when you can tell some of their stories on other things show this isn't incompetence. It's malice. It's below the level of competency they show elsewhere. It's deliberate. They're guilty.

Projection at its finest!
