I was completely fucking brainwashed about it, and when the leftists dragged the Democrat party off the cliff in 2013-2016, I was branded a Literal Nazi for having extreme "alt-right" views like "we should not judge people by the color of their skin," "I don't care what LGBT people do but maybe we shouldn't let a dude in a drag queen demon outfit run story hour at the public library," and "I understand the concept of bodily autonomy but maybe it's wrong to abort a baby because it's a boy and you wanted a girl". (This was back when assuming a baby's gender wasn't a literal act of violence, as the left currently believes.)
There is a chance that this man has had a true change of heart, and it should become obvious during his campaign if that's the case or he's just another politician doing politician bullshit.
