Negligence is about the worst I'd accuse Chauvin of, if I recall correctly, he was kneeling on a corpse for about 3 minutes out of the 8 minutes.
Should've recognized potential OD/cardiac issues and acted, but just because you have the tools and the training doesn't mean you know how to use them properly. Unless for some reason they don't teach first aid, CPR, and overdose countermeasures (narcan/etc) to police anymore, in which case they need those skills taught despite what you might think of Floyd's character.
