I've worked with a few Africans over the years and they are the most hard working and appreciative group of people I've ever trained, closely followed by some of the Indians I've worked with.
These people know what reality looks like and when they're well off - but boy did they have to earn the situations they were in, it wasn't luck and sure as hell wasn't positive discrimination.
In comparison, most of the Brits I've worked with are lazy and expect everything to be done for them, which is why my field of expertise is dominated by foreign workers. I watched the entire voir dire, this was the result of the defense clawing and fighting hard for a fair jury. The judge would allow anyone in as long as they ended with "I am confident I can put my biases aside." One guy even told the defense he'd be open to proof of the defendants innocence if they can present it, but he said the magic words when prompted so he went forward. This made the defense burn most of their strikes on insanely biased jurors that any good judge would have sent packing. Given the leanings of the area the state had the luxury of striking anyone vaguely right wing.

I watched the entire voir dire, this was the result of the defense clawing and fighting hard for a fair jury. The judge would allow anyone in as long as they ended with "I am confident I can put my biases aside." One guy even told the defense he'd be open to proof of the defendants innocence if they can present it, but he said the magic words when prompted so he went forward. This made the defense burn most of their strikes on insanely biased jurors that any good judge would have sent packing. Given the leanings of the area the state had the luxury of striking anyone vaguely right wing.
My opinion of this jury not positive, but I think they are capable of being reasonable. That's probably the best you are going to get in the Twin Cities these days.

Personal Note: I honestly don’t know how the case will go. The reality is that this is a very high-profile case where a lot of politics are being played and in the eyes of the public, there definitely is a “right” and “wrong” verdict. It will honestly just come down to if the jury truly is objective or not.
It should also be noted that while the jury at first glance definitely looks like to be aiming towards a conviction, I had the same thoughts as the Zimmerman trial when the jurors were announced (all female jury) and we all know how that turned out.

I have followed the jury selection closely and I can tell you all the jurors except juror #9 will most likely in the end decide not guilty. The selection process was pretty meticulous and well done

Six of the jurors are almost undoubtedly leftist and will vote to convict Chauvin even if Fentanyl Floyd came back from the dead and said it was 100% his own fault. The other jurors can go either way but assuming an equal distribution between insane and not, then if Chauvin is lucky, he can get 5 jurors that won't try to flex their politics, which is unlikely.
