Roads weren't full of potholes and even if they where cars back then had great suspension anyway, making the ride more comfortable.
Gasoline prices weren't as high as Hinter Biden so you could actually afford to refuel your pickup truck, and gypsies wouldn't steal anything you put in the back (Europe again).
As recently as 25 years ago you could pull up to a red light next to a cop - in your 1969 or 71 whatever.. and the cop would look over, smile and give the universal symbol waving hand in circle to give 'er and let him see what she can do.
Now - a cop will hear someone doing a burn-out and immediately send patrol to the area, or go out of their way 'off duty' to be an asshole and threaten you with impound/stunt driving.
