Bottom line is this. If you make it so this never happens, you live in a prison. Even in prison, they still kill each other.

No matter what path you choose, the price for freedom for everyone is death for some innocent people.

There are randos shooting strangers and there are governments murdering their citizens. One of these is vastly worse than the other on an exponential scale.

Red flag laws are the worst. Anyone can say anything about you at any time for any reason. That's not a law, that's fascism.

FBI has a billion or more people in their database for millions of reasons. One two three ...five hops from event X. If we complain about this guy getting a gun, we're shooting ourselves in the foot.

The criteria used to justify barring this person from gun ownership - loud mouth about religious beliefs, expressed desire to see X fry, open hatred and contempt for Y, would put everyone in the same category.

And that's what they want. Don't give them what they want.

Doesn’t matter, I got flagged on a gun application a few years ago for having a relative with a medical marijuana card. This guy was arrested recently bottom line he should have never breezed thru a check. The FBI provided it to him.

whaaa? Flagged how? What does "flagged" mean exactly?

Keep in mind that James O'Keefe from Project Veritas was recently flagged and unable to buy a gun by the FBI. I think he got it overturned and was able to get one later, but that's because he fought it. Still, makes you think.

This is what makes me believe they hate us. They target us specifically. OKeefe is a danger? They know people want to kill him. What a joke. If any needs a be packing it's O'Keefe.

That means my application was denied! A year later finally got it after appealing.

Extreme vetting. Stop takung so many "refugees". They don't need any help.

It's crazy to think you can extract just anyone of any age with any background and dump them in the West and they will just assimilate 'cause magic happens.

What am I talking about. The left doesn't even want assimilation anymore. They want destruction.

Extreme vetting

Irrelevant. We see second and third generation muslims commit terrorism against the people who gave them everything. See the problems the French are having.

Nits make lice.

This is correct. That's why I am saying we can't just assimilate anybody. Some cultures which have proven themselves to be historically resistance to change for 1000 years now aren't going to be fielding viable candidates for integration into the West. Only extraordinary people who seek to flee those places should be allowed in.

I agree with better vetting immigrants. But there's often not much I go on them.

Also, this guy was only 3. He grew up in America and seemed to have a fairly normal life besides some almost normal teenager outbursts and fights in high school

What a nightmare is must be trying to keep track of Mohammad Mohammad, resident of Hamtramck

Agree. What are they supposed to do?

“Sorry Mr. MAGA, your background check failed, so you can’t buy this firearm, because the corrupt FBI is watching you.”

I can get that he arguably shouldn't have been disqualified from buying a weapon. But...

If you are on the FBI's watch list, how is it possible that if you go ahead and buy a weapon that you don't get put on "Doing more than just fucking watching" list?

2
MrAnderson1776 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't get it. Just buying a weapon puts you on a watch list? I don't think gun registries are legal.

2
zooty 2 points ago +2 / -0

No, he was already on a watch list, apparently. Attempting to purchase a weapon, given that, would, you would think, indicate that a little closer attention was warranted.
