2 of the guys from my platoon in Iraq went on to join SF. One of the guys, him and I were discussing the fall of the American empire and rise of a new singular strongman leader as far back as 2007.
There’s some pretty liberal faggots in SOF units too. The ones I know are on a fucking power trip acting like they know everything but they’re way passed their expiration date. No idea how they passed their last SERE class.
All the SEALs I’ve met are based AF. Including the officers. It’s the only military community that hasn’t been ruined yet. They thought women could pass BUD/s..... LOL
I know there's some weird stuff with their contract awards. The company I worked for had a 10 year long contract with them that was expiring and went out for rebid. We were obviously one of the bidders and a new company had come along towards the end of our contract with them. SOCOM decided they were going to split the contract we had been into multiple smaller contracts and multiple companies would be awarded different contracts. There would be one tier one company that would sort of have oversight of all the other parts. We should have been a shoe in for that award. We had been doing the work for 10 years. We had employees already in place, etc.
TLDR the tier one part of the contract was awarded to a smaller start up and we were awarded a few of the other contracts along with multiple other companies.
The kicker is the owner of the start up company that won the main contract was married to one of the people on the SOCOM contract awards committee. =) We were in shock, as you can imagine.
well, they can't get fired and they often just show up and put in an hours worth of work in an 8 hour day. I was a contractor but getting parts of my job done relied on DoD civilians doing something on their end first and getting them to do their job was a nightmare. I'm convinced dealing with those schmucks on a daily basis contributed to a freaking artery in my head exploding.
They used to tell me I cared too much about doing my job and I said, no, you don't care enough about doing yours.
And yes, there were many, many condescending ones on power trips. I know maybe 2 really good ones for every 15 arseholes in the DoD civilian world.
SOCOM is compromised too
Just because the top is doesn’t necessarily mean the whole thing is. I can’t imagine there’s a lot of pussies in Special Operations.
Let’s pray this is the case...
That's what they said about the FBI.

DoD civilians are fucking cancer. Most all of them that I've ran into are bitter, condescending assholes on a power trip.
