yes but it's also just plain for my wallet and freedom. i have no problem with electric vehicles as they come more advanced and the manufacturing process becomes much less wasteful so the technology can actually stand on it's own without subsides and forced laws and taxes.
Solar tech when ready is a free individuals best friend. We have never had more tech and knowledge available to us to live self sufficiently. The only thing stopping us from doing so id the state.
good point though that's also my point i guess. At least in my head. The tech has to last and be sustainable.
Shit has to be built to last and we have to stop mass producing fucking garbage level products and shit we plane don't need unless it is borderline 100% recyclable.
I'm saying all this from a conservative perspective, not coombyyaahahaha save the climate we all gonna die in a flood in 2 years liberal talk.
Amazon trash, new cars every couple years, clothes that don't last with a million dyes, chemicals for paint color, restaurants, etc. none of it is essential.
ANd i have no problem with luxuries and the free market driving things like this... But it would be nice if conservatives cared a little more about pointless waste, dones't have to be the same reasons as liberals. But i think from a self sufficient and free view point on technology and less waste/pollution actually overlap a lot.
we always talk about how science fiction becomes reality. 3d printers will become like microwaves, common house hold items. The materials are already being made reusable in home. If taxes and laws didn't force me to work 40+ for myself or someone else. how many of us would be happy just enjoying the outdoors and surviving.. Even if it meant a little more old fashioned hard work mixed with technology. Only mass produce things we need. Solar panels for instance. and you pay a fair price for something that lasts a long fucking time.
Maybe i'm stupid to dream of a world like this.. just like "real" socialism ahhahaahhAHAHHA. But i think somewhere in the middle between where we are now and that would be a lot better.
Sorry to rant. But i really feel the common folk would all benefit from less taxes, less over complicated laws, un-normalize debt, less 50+ hour work weeks so we can talk, ec etc etc. That would be good for everyone... But then we would be getting along and the people in power wouldn't be in power... so we can't have that.

Not really. All that tech wears out eventually and you'd need to have it replaced.

Fair enough.
