Trump could have done this 2 and a half months ago, yet he does this now after his ass has become irrelevant in the grand scheme of things

We don't need trumps approval, he needed ours, we had his back and he let us down, if he had fought back, the Insurrection narrative wouldn't be cemented in place the way it is now
