I think 2, maybe 3 times in the last two decades with tens of billions in loans, forgiveness, etc. Not to mention that all other transport pays the FULL gas tax, whereas airlines pay a fraction of it. Southwest is the one airline likely to survive COVID-19 hysteria.
All the US airlines survive. They got a lot of USGOV help. Many will even buy new Boeings.
After Banks, Airlines are the most bailed out industry in the USA.
I think 2, maybe 3 times in the last two decades with tens of billions in loans, forgiveness, etc.
Not to mention that all other transport pays the FULL gas tax, whereas airlines pay a fraction of it. And airlines alone - not trucks or trains.
