I've grown to accept that being vocal online and silent irl is counter productive. need to reach normies where they are. ive started tentatively talking to people who don't spend as much time thinking about politics, with some good results. shit has gotten pretty ridiculous irl, so i guess that helps in a perverse way.

I've found that being adversarial at first while seeding an easily-debunked lie and subsequently conceding that they're "right" about it opens them up to what you have to say.
yea, persuasion really isn't all about having facts. that worked on my dad because he's similar to me and doesnt have time to worry about how so and so makes him feel. but for most people it takes time and prodding at their beliefs so they themselves start questioning things.

I see it as kinda building the framework of the truth in their mind, so that when they wake up, it is of "their own volition", and not because we forced them to.
Less jarring for them. The ones that run away and hide might not actually be as lost as we think. Maybe they just needed a bit of truth in their lives, and truth tends to resonate more strongly than lies.
