This is Trump’s largest mistake besides not calling an insurrection. Once the side effects start to show up they will blame Trump for all of it...probably right around 2023 election cycle.
I'm not advocating for these vaccines, or claiming that they are safe. I personally won't be taking one in the near future and have told my physician as much.
With that being said the reason for granting them immunity is that there is 0% chance a vaccine would be available in the next 5 years without it. No drug company is going to put a drug on the market with minimal testing and no long term human trials without legal immunity from lawsuits.
I am not at the point where I believe these vaccines are some genetic engineering conspiracy to turn the entire world into sterile zombies. I think they are the result of the chaos that DC and Beijing have thrown the world into. They are products that companies have diverted massive amounts of government funding to in an effort to get something to market. That was the whole purpose of Operation Warp Speed, which was pushed by Trump.
I think there is a pretty good chance that we will see some long term side effects for these vaccines. especially the mRNA ones. That is the main reason that I am not taking one. For me the potential side effects would have to be outweighed by the potential benefits. So if I was 85 and in a nursing home in NYC I would consider getting one, but as a healthy 36 year old. there is simply no benefit for me. If Covid ends up being what takes me from this earth then so be it, but I like my chances.

Don't give the drug dealers immunity and don't mandate it. It it works and is safe, neither are necessary.
