btw, Do you also know, the majority religion in the Louisiana Purchase at the time, was Roman Catholic? All up and down the Mississippi Roman Catholicism was the dominant religion. In fact, it even stretched into Quebec. That's because it was largely the French that settled. Also, Southwestern U.S. and California and the entire west coast was at one point, 90% Catholic.
