I worked in aviation. We had guys from Europe (England, Germany) coming over to Canada to be instructors. Even though they worked in some of the worse places (like the Praries), a lot of them ended up staying in Canada, getting citizenship. They marveled at the fact that they could own and afford several BIG cars of trucks. Buy a large house that would be paid off in one generation. Do pretty much the fuck they wanted. And low taxes. No, seriously, they thought an overall 50% + tax rate and 20% sales tax was low taxes. Still funny visualizing that 6' 6" German trying to fit in that Bell 206.
