Even if they didnt want to use murder because that implies some sort of legal conclusion, "killed" would be a much more honest word. But they can't bring themselves to say it.
Now if two white girls had robbed and killed a black uber eats driver, it would be front page news everywhere and they would be calling it for what it is, murder, and their crime would be presumed to be racially motivated as well
