Fucking party libertarians. They are a special breed of dumb. Think letting the market exist in peace will somehow negate outside influence from bad actors like China.

You need an internal market that is FREE but all imports are regulated to the teeth. Make it a hassle and entirely impossible for money to flow out of your nation.

Even the internal market needs some regulation. Anti-trust is a good example; the notion that monopolies don't form in a free market is an outright lie, and can be disproven mathematically. Competitive markets aren't always free, and free markets aren't always competitive.

Obviously monopolies form in a free market... but can you guess how many monopolies exist because of regulations? All of them. If a company is really good at something why shouldn't they get the monopoly? If we remove as many regulations as possible it'll be constant competition to keep that top spot.

Because monopolies are profit efficient, not price efficient. That's the key thing you libertarians miss, competition does NOT come naturally from a free market. Regulatory capture is a thing, but so is de-regulatory capture. Like most things in life, things are not simple nor clean, and reducing problems such as monopolization to a single dimension (i.e. the government) is not valid. For example, in a truly free market, collusion would be legal, which would actually be the optimal strategy for companies to take because they can maximize profit by colluding.

Who said I was a libertarian? If anyone can start a business without having to bother to get 15 licenses and 20 certificates and compete with the big dog from their own backyard prices will drop!

Did you know you can make insulin with the same equipment as a brewery? Why is insulin still $400 after the Biden kickbacks to the pharma companies? Cause you need FDA license to even start producing anything. Instead of a basic pre-sale test of your product you need to invest millions to even get off the ground.

So once again regulations are neither price NOR profit efficient. Slash em all, internally.
