I went to my county convention to vote on precinct and district leaders last week. Biggest turnout ever. My local GOP is one of the most incompetent and potentially compromised in the country. They had a hand in giving this red state over to biden in 2020.
My group of "patriots" has been rallying and meeting every week to get ready to take over the local party. There are tons of openings. The problem is getting people committed and adapting to this new "normal" where we have to become activated and stay activated. It does seem tempting to go back to sleep and hope that someone else will do the work.
We learned in the last election that our party didn't have our backs. They raised $0 from 2018-2020 despite a looming presidential election and two major senate races. They didn't recruit poll watchers. They hid the signs given to them by the Trump campaign in a warehouse until two weeks before the election. And then when our group compiled eye witness accounts of fraud and misconduct, the local party prevented the report from reaching the sos.
So, get involved now. The conventions only happen every two years. You can informally vote and decide on precinct and district leaders at any point. If you want to be a delegate, I think you would have had to have been at the convention in your county last Saturday. The next step is April 17th where the delegates elect executive positions in the party. This is where you get real MAGA in and the rinos out.
