Reports go back as early as October 2019 for the virus being in Wuhan, then later Wuhan going on lockdown for inner travel but still allowing international travel.

I remember when big tech was cancelling anyone who mentioned the news reports saying that the virus came out of a lab in China, and the MSM concerned anyone who even talked about that possibility.
Pretty sure my biggest problem with humanity in general is we seem to the collective memory of a gold fish. I'm an infection control nurse, and I'd been told for years and years that masks didn't really work and were kind of pointless (outside of specific situations, like the OR), and stupid. Then one day covid hit, and we still remembered that masks are stupid and pointless. Then one day we forgot.
I think it was just more that having the only bsl-4 lab in all of China in the same city where the virus originated is beyond coincidence.
