The media seems to have stopped even posting interviews with family because for a long time you could get that same line of bullshit just about word for word in every single story.
In fact I remember once two similar stories of a 13% committing a crime, posted on Facebook, probably 10 years ago now, in cities at least 1000 miles apart and both had the comments from the grandmother and both of them said the same thing almost exactly. All I could do was laugh and wonder if they really said it or the media just has a standard bit they run every time.
