Yup, I would rather have people build something and thus have a reason to defend what they have built themselves than trust a bunch of scumbags who, at best, have a financial motivation to screw over citizens by pushing any old trumped up charge they can, or at worst are under the control of traitors in government who use them to screw over the citizens.
We really don't need a force who do whatever freaks like Pedo Joe tell them to do without question. Or who will happily push the most severe charges they can because it is not their job to uphold the law, but instead to secure convictions. You don't hear of officers getting promoted because their sector has no crime. They get promoted based on how many people they can lock up.
