Friends I've known for a decade won't be in the same room with me because I haven't had the vaccine. Restaurants employees treat us like lepers ("people from TX are going to kill us all"). Four people can sit at a bar with room for 20. For the first time ever I got yelled at by a Karen for not having my face diaper over my nose.
It's sad. I don't see how we recover from this as a single country.

Yup, and there's a pocket of stupid up by Superior WI too. But yeah, most of the businesses outside those areas don't care because law enforcement refused to enforce. Been in many places where even employees don't wear masks.
We've been seeing our friends, going to church, going out like normal here between Madtown and Mwaukee. But our kids in Madison we can only see if we're all outside, and no hugs in over a year.
