Friends I've known for a decade won't be in the same room with me because I haven't had the vaccine. Restaurants employees treat us like lepers ("people from TX are going to kill us all"). Four people can sit at a bar with room for 20. For the first time ever I got yelled at by a Karen for not having my face diaper over my nose.

It's sad. I don't see how we recover from this as a single country.
