It's not Flynn who is suing CNN. It's his in-laws. They specifically state in the suit that, unlike Michael Flynn, they are private citizens and are therefore legally entitled to a higher threshold of privacy than Michael Flynn.

Everybody should sue CNN for defamation and slander. Eventually, they'll be bankrupt and have to shutdown.
