Unfortunately there's nothing they can do with his eyes. What they have done is make his eyes look more wide open, which is very unnatural, since his eyes have always been squinty. But the wider his eyes, the scarier he looks. It just makes it easier to see that no one is home.
Depending on where you look or who you listen to, it's not necessarily a joke. That wasn't my first instinct after all of the crazy I've heard throughout the last 4 months.
