Good technician here. Systems engineer for 27+ years and as patriot and conservative as it gets. However its impossible to find any contact details for this effort.
I don't know where he's getting his good technicians from, but he'll need his own ddos protection and deployment platform (probably a non-install app because apple and google won't let it in their app/play stores.
Its also called a PWA or Progressive Web App. Even this site and Twitter have this implantation. If you go to Twitter on a mobile web-browser, you have an option to "Add to Home Screen", which essentially creates a web-based "App" that functions like an app does with notifications and everything, without having to install a package from the respective App Stores from Google or Apple.
This also benefits by not having to comply with their policies.
I seriously doubt Trump will start a "Gab Jr.". I have also seen smaller payment processors that would, knowing them, probably get nervous being anywhere near Gab, but likely wouldn't mind the potential business Trump could bring in so long as there's a reasonable terms of service that still lets people get their opinions out.
The problem I see is I've seen places try to start up new social media before, and have it fall flat because, well, nobody cared and they could already do everything they wanted on Facebook. Any newbie social media platform that wants to get a foot in the door of normieland has to take their attention away from Facebook. And Facebook is a hard nut to crack in that regard. (Many have tried, many have failed....)
Not as worried about Twitter and Reddit. Twitter is dying (it's really just a marketing circlejerk now) and Reddit...well...we had a laugh over that the other day.
Hopefully it'll be able to withstand the DDOSing that the communists will inevitably try to do.
Trump is going to hire some good technicians to work on it, I am sure.
I also expect that it will be very bare bones at start for extra security.

It doesn’t need to be an app, it can just be web browser bases like this site and gab
That's kind of what a "non-install" app is.

Yup, they're going need some serious proprietary infrastructure.
It'll be interesting to see which bank works with them.

Solid insight.
That won't be the issue. It will be payment processors, domain registrar's and ICANN itself.
