"Mask mandates were associated with a 0.7%decrease (p = 0.03) in daily COVID-19 death growth rates 1–20 days after implementation.

Daily case and death growth rates before implementation of mask mandates were not statistically different from the reference period."

CDC, March 2021

Not wrong at all. The mask is statistically insignificant, even if you haven’t had it.

If you’re displaying symptoms and have to be in public, maybe the mask is a good idea, but unless you refrain from touching anything, at any point, you’re not preventing transmission.

Only actively sick and symptomatic people should wear a mask if they have to be in public. If its a mask it shouldn't be a stupid cotton one it needs to a legitimate surgical face mask. Otherwise they are essentially pointless and possibly harmful.
