Ah, S&W has a special place in my heart. I live in Massachusetts which used to have a very strong gun culture and there's a good chance that your S&Ws were manufactured in this state, although ironically most of them can't be sold here. The Shield and its little brother, the Bodyguard, are damn fine arms.
