I can't wait for the vaccines to start backfiring bigly. My only sadness in that regard is that Trump is associated with them.

Based on humanity's track record with novelties introduced without sufficient testing in science, medicine and engineering; based on people's past efforts trying to develop a coronavirus vaccine; and based on my own experience of how things ALWAYS go when they are not sufficiently tested; I forecast that we'll get lucky (i.e. most of the vaccinated won't die or have permanent effects), but we won't get "lucky" enough to avoid lessons.

This means the number of deaths from vaccines are going to be at least equal to, or greater than, the number of deaths from Covid-19; and the number of long-term injuries will be greater.

A few years from now, there will be serious doubting of science, scientific authority, and the idea that we can govern top-down in general. History will look down on this as the great debacle of Covid-19 overreaction. 😄

And people won't admit that they were ever in favor of pushing the vaccine.

I always think about how they said thalidomide was going to be the best thing ever. And then, “thalidomide baby” became a thing. My doctor was telling me how safe the vaccine is, but couldn’t answer anything about how long it lasts, long term effects, or anything. So I’m waiting.
